Name: Sara Whitney

Nickname(s): Trip-lip

Birth date: The same day as my father-in-law's

Occupation: Journalist, student, actor, certified ninja

Hobbies: Reading, karate, acting, rope

Favorite/Debut Role: Debut - Trixie; Favorite - I love and have played them all, but Trixie and Columbia; also, former cast manager.

Previous casts/Special Performances: I was with Denver's Dynamic Tension (DDT) in 2000 before they disbanded, and I've been with CEI ever since. We had a side-shadow cast called Delusions of Grandeur in 2004 for the movie Clue, where I was Miss Scarlet. We have had so many special shows that it's hard to keep track of them all, but they fall into essentially two categories: full shows in outside venues (meaning not our home theater) in Boulder, Ft. Collins, Greeley, and Morrison; and mini, promo shows throughout Denver in various drunk, seedy, and fun locations. The most memorable, and my favorite, show was our Red Rocks Amphitheater performance on July 10, 2001. We broke the World Record for most audience at a showing of Rocky Horror, but because of the hideous weather, most of the ticket takers bailed, so there's no confirmation of the record-breaking.

Relationship status: Happily married since 6-4-06 to Derrick, a former Brad for CEI.

Kinsey Scale Rating (0 - 6): 1. I appreciate the aesthetic values of my gender, but there is no sexual desire towards it.

Why Rocky Horror?: It was a place for me to really let my hair down and learn to be comfortable in my own skin. I was so horribly shy before Rocky that if you would have told me I'd have been in charge of a group of people while romping around in public in my panties, I would have run away, probably screaming. Now, it lets me kind of keep up on my acting skills, since it's only kind of acting and since I have too busy a schedule to do more real acting. Plus I get to show of my lingerie and be all sexy. Or at least try.

When did you Join?: April 2000 - I'm the only founding member still on cast that has been here since its inception.

Why did you join CEI?: I started Rocky with DDT in January of 2000, and when they disbanded two months later, I wasn't ready to stop; so, I crossed the "picket line" and started up with CEI.

Which RHPS Character would you date?: Eddie. Why?: Because he's a rebel without a cause... or a brain.

Favorite Call-Back line?: The spontaneous ones you get just for one show.

Do you have any tattoos?: I have three tattoos, and all of them have special meaning for me; I find it sad when people can't justify a tattoo with anything more than "I thought it would be cool." The first one is Trixie - the Rocky lips - on my left hip, on the same day as the Red Rocks show. The second is a bonsai tree inside a rising/setting sun with kanji down the side, for the karate school I train with, on my right calf in November 2002. The third is the kanji for Love, Father, Mother (or more fluidly, "I love my dad and mom") on my left calf in April 2005. A fourth is forthcoming.
