It may seem like comic book fans have a monopoly on the extreme reactions that follow casting news, but that’s only because there are a lot of comic book movies these days. Really, anything with a big following is going to garner a lot of strong opinions about casting when it gets made into a movie/TV show, and the intensity of those opinions is determined by how passionate the following is. With that in mind, it seems safe to assume that a lot of people are going to feel very strongly about this news.

According to Deadline, Fox has cast Victoria Justice and Ryan McCartan as Janet and Brad in its Laverne Cox-starring TV remake of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Justice is best known as the star of Nickelodeon’s Victorious, and McCartan had a recurring role on Disney’s Liv And Maddie. The production has also cast Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark survivor Reeve Carney as Riff Raff and a guy named Staz Nair—who is apparently a model, appropriately—will play Rocky.
